Walk Your PlansWichita
Walk Your Plans studio session for industrial & aerospace

For industrial and aerospace teams

Validate the line before the tooling is bolted down.

For manufacturing and aerospace engineering teams validating line layouts, tooling, and clearances before installation. Have a question? Just give us a call.

"We walked the cell at full scale and moved two stations before a single anchor went in."

What an engineering session looks like

Install day spent installing, not redesigning.

1

Send the layout.

A CAD or PDF export of the line, cell, or facility area. We calibrate it to exact 1:1 scale.

2

Bring engineering.

Manufacturing and industrial engineers, operations, safety, and equipment vendors as needed. Remote participants join live.

3

Walk the loop.

Station spacing, operator travel, material flow, maintenance envelopes, and egress, all at the size they will actually be built.

4

Resolve before install.

Conflicts get fixed on the studio floor, and you leave with a marked-up layout, so install day is spent installing.

Who this is

You're validating a line, cell, or facility layout before installation.

Reconfiguring a line or standing up a new cell is expensive to get wrong. Projecting the layout at 1:1 lets engineering walk it first.

Line and cell layout

Walk station spacing, work paths, and material flow before installation locks it in.

Tooling and equipment clearances

Verify clearances and access at true scale, not from a CAD elevation.

Ergonomics and operator paths

Walk the operator loop and catch reach, travel, and safety issues early.

Install-day surprises

Resolve conflicts on the studio floor instead of during a costly install window.

What a session does for you

Catch the bottleneck on the floor, not on install day.

Engineering teams walk the layout at full scale, validate tooling and clearances, and resolve conflicts before installation.

  • Line and cell layouts validated at 1:1
  • Tooling clearances proven before install
  • Operator ergonomics walked and refined
  • Costly install-day rework avoided

See the Resources section for facility and line layout validation details.

Walk Your Plans studio session, industrial & aerospace

When to walk it

Twice, ideally: once while the layout is in draft, and a confirmation walk before the install window.

You can walk roughly 2,000 square feet an hour. Larger footprints are walked in sections using the 4-hour and 8-hour packages, broken into segments as needed with a 1-hour minimum.

Engineering questions, answered

What formats do you accept?

PDF, DWG, CAD, and most common exports. If your layout renders to a plan view, we can project it.

Is our layout confidential?

The studio is private: your session, your team, no one else. Raise any confidentiality requirements on the discovery call and we will accommodate them.

Can we walk a full facility?

Yes, in sections. Larger footprints are walked area by area across a 4-hour or 8-hour package.

Can vendors or remote engineers join?

Yes, live through the Vibe Board, marking up the same layout as the team on the floor.

Does this replace our layout tools?

No. It validates what your tools produce. The studio supports engineering review; it does not replace your industrial engineers, vendors, or safety authorities.

Built for the Air Capital

Wichita is the Air Capital of the World, and the studio sits minutes off K-96 on N Webb Rd. Aerospace and manufacturing teams across south-central Kansas use it to prove a layout before a single anchor goes in.
